The Resort"La reine Meije", Queen of the mountain range, overhangs the exceptionnal villages of la Grave and Villar d'Arene and their hamlets from an altitude of 3982 metres.
In the winter you can take advantage of a ski area unique to Europe with 2150 metres vertical of off-piste skiing which is well known all over the world.

Ski AreaLa Grave - La Meije belongs to the privileged circle of original ski resorts. From the top lift ( t-bar) at 3560m you can descend freely for the 2150 m vertical drop of the Vallons de la Meije in an abundance of fresh, untouched snow.

In parallel with the adventurous skiing on the north face of the Meije, the three areas of Le Chazelet, Villar d'Arène and the Col du Lautaret, are ideal for beginners and intermediate skiers. Enjoy the magnificent scenery of the Oisans mountain range while skiing in safety on green, blue and red pistes.
